Dimension 20's season of A Starstruck Odyssey used an online program for battlemaps and every intrepid hero had a laptop with a themed cover. I used an iPad in my own IRL games and I was inspired to create my own case.
This is a screenshot from an episode, all of the cases have that rough space vibe and I wanted to recreate it using a cheap case from Amazon.
I painted the original case a light blue using some acrylic paint, and then watered down some dark brown and green paint and used a sponge to dab it on and then wiped it off to make it look old and beat up. I also went over the whole thing with very watered down black paint! I went over and dry brushed it with some metallic silver eyeshadow to make it look like the paint was scraped off.
I also designed a "Keep Baustin Weird" sticker, a in-universe location since I wanted this to feel like a sticker you could buy in Baustin. I also printed a Torgue sticker, a weapons manufacturer from the "Borderlands" series, it fits very well within the vibe of what I'm going for.
