The great (fictional) Chef Gusteau once said "Anyone can cook!" I have always loved cooking, ever since I was a child I was always helping in the kitchen, or watching Emeril or Alton Brown on Food Network. While most boys wanted to be football players, I wanted my own cooking show. In college I made that a reality (sort of). My senior year of college, my best friend and I would go on Instagram and live stream us making a dish and a cocktail. That show (Kitchen Time with Izzy and Justin) was adored by tens of people and then morphed into Wicked Kitchen when I moved out of my dorm. Wicked Kitchen ended not with a bang but just kind of fizzled out. Recently I became inspired to get back in the kitchen (and in front of the camera) and decided it was time for a redesign! That is where Gendron Makes comes from as me (Justin Gendron) makes delicious food while explaining the science behind what we're doing.
Unfortunately Kitchen Time Graphics are lost to history, but relics from Wicked Kitchen still survive to this day. From Left to Right - 1st Season design, 2nd Season, Canadian Celebration Episode, Finale Episode aka Fight Night, and unused Summer Season design.
Here's a lesson for everyone: When you pick a name for you show, GOOGLE IT! Otherwise you might find out that the name is already being used for a cookbook by one of the biggest chefs in the world. With that in mind, here is a logo I can never use. The Food Lab is an excellent cookbook written by food genius J. Kenji Lopez-Alt.
